Morguard has launched its latest project, known as The Heathview, in Toronto’s Forest Hill neighbourhood. Comprising two 30-storey towers, the rental development will be pursuing LEED Gold certification.
The Heathview features studio, one-, two- and three-bedroom luxury suites up to 2,400 square feet.
Sustainable design features include water-saving fixtures, a rainwater containment system for irrigation, green roof, heat recovery units and the use of low volatile organic compound construction materials.
The development, designed by Page and Steele Architects, also features condo-quality amenities including a 24-7 concierge service, on-site maintenance, fitness facility, yoga studio, dining room and private outdoor lounge.
“Toronto’s rental market is on the rise and we are delighted that Morguard has chosen Forest Hill for this model development,” says city councillor Joe Mihevc. “More people are choosing to rent and this increased density supports additional retail and new businesses, ultimately creating more jobs in the community. The Heathview will provide new rentals and contribute to keeping St. Clair West a strong, vibrant neighbourhood.”
The Heathview is the first new high-rise rental to be built in the community in more than 40 years.
