IIDEXCanada 2015, taking place on December 2 and 3, is introducing three new national summits that will challenge significant issues impacting the future of designers, architects, building owners and the real estate industry.
At the National Summit on Accessibility, Jutta Treviranus, director of Inclusive Design Research Centre (IDRC) and Dr. Vera Roberts, academic research manager at IDRC, and their panels of global experts, will explore the multi-faceted promises and challenges of inclusive design and accessibility in the built environment.
At the National Summit on Wellness, speakers will discuss the benefits of cultivating health, wellness and well-being in the workplace with workplace design leaders. Speakers include, Bill Browning, Barbara Ciesla, senior vice-president, strategic consulting at JLL, Michael Brooks, chief executive officer of REALpac, Gerry Guidice, global head of enterprise real estate, at the TD Bank Group, Michael Emory, president and chief executive officer of Allied Properties REIT and Stuart Candy, futurist at OCADU.
Lastly, the National Summit on Healthcare, will focus on the application of design thinking in the healthcare realm to create meaningful experiences for all occupants by engaging key stakeholders. This summit will be led by Clifford Harvey, vice-president of planning, facilities and support services at North York General and Edward Chan, vice-president and health market leader at CannonDesign.
IIDEXCanada 2015 will also feature internationally recognized keynote speakers who are involved in visionary projects throughout the world, and workplace exhibits that conceptualize what the future of the workplace could look like.
