Teknion Corporation, the designer of innovative office furniture, office systems and ergonomic accessories, won six prestigious awards including the top prize at Best of NeoCon 2016.
Teknion’s Zones, a comprehensive series of furniture for the office, features seating, tables, screens, easels and semi-private enclosures, which can be used as intimate collaborative settings or a private retreat. The collection also features lighting and accessories.
The Zones collection earned a Gold Best of NeoCon in the Furniture Collections for Collaboration category; Zones benches won a Gold Best of NeoCon in the Seating: Benches category; and Zones tables won Silver in the Conference Room Furniture category. The entire Zones collection also earned the show’s top award, Best of Competition.
Teknion’s Sanna by Pablo lighting collection, designed by Pablo Pardo, also earned a Gold Best of NeoCon award in the Lighting: Task/Desktop/Furniture-Integrated category, while its Tek Pier integrated, height-adjustable, wall-mounted work surface and monitor earned a Gold award in the Technology-Integrated Solutions category.
“Winning five Best of NeoCon awards plus the Best of Competition is incredibly rewarding in light of the record number of product entries this year and their overall design excellence,” said David Feldberg, Teknion’s president and CEO, in a press release. “We share these honours with Tom Lloyd and Luke Pearson whose design team, working in conjunction with our own designers, has done an exceptional job with Zones. We also share these awards with Pablo Pardo for Sanna, and our talented in-house design team for their work on Tek Pier and all of the other outstanding products we exhibited at NeoCon.”
In total, 93 awards were distributed at the Best of NeoCon 2016 competition of contract furnishing products, which took place during the NeoCon design exposition and conference from June 13 to 15, 2016 in Chicago. The awards were distributed to applicants from a pool of 423 products entered for consideration.
