Cintas launches 10th annual Canada’s Best Restroom contest

Tuesday, March 12, 2019

Cintas Canada, Ltd. invites the public to help them find 2019’s Best Restroom. The contest is open to any non-residential washroom in Canada that is accessible to the general public.

“A customer’s washroom experience can have a significant impact on their impression of a business,” said Candice Raynsford, marketing manager, Cintas Canada, in the press release. “Through this contest, Cintas recognizes businesses that have invested in providing first-rate facilities to keep their customers coming back.”

Last year’s winner, St. Albert Honda in Alberta took home the title for its washrooms which promote cleanliness and convenience with automated fixtures, including a “stepNpull” door opener, and deluxe baby changing stations in both the female and male washrooms.

“We were blown away by the red-carpet experience that we received from Cintas Canada when we were named Canada’s Best Restroom,” said Ross Hodgins, Owner, St. Albert Honda in the press release. “The media coverage we received during the contest gave the dealership national exposure and we still have customers stopping in to see our washrooms. It’s great to know that so many Canadians take as much pride in clean washrooms as we do.”

Entries are judged based on five criteria: cleanliness, visual appeal, innovation, functionality and unique design elements. Five finalists will be announced in July and the public will have an opportunity to vote for this year’s winner.

Nominate your favourite public washroom now through June 14 at bestrestroom.com/Canada. The winner will receive $2,500 in facility services from Cintas to help maintain their award-winning washrooms.
