Following a design competition process, real estate firm Hines and condominium developer Tridel have selected 3XN, a Danish design firm, as the design architect of the developers’ newest residential project at Bayside Toronto.
Kim Herforth Nielsen, 3XN principal and senior partner, was on hand at a media conference alongside executives from Hines and Tridel on April 13 to present initial images and the preliminary design vision for the development. This is the design firm’s first project in North America.
The proposed condo will be the third residential phase of Bayside Toronto, a 13-acre mixed-use development located south of Queens Quay between Sherbourne Common and the Parliament Slip. The $1.1-billion development will be the first neighbourhood in downtown Toronto to incorporate two million square feet of residential, commercial and cultural space into a waterfront setting.
