Construction has started on a 45-storey condo that is inspired by the “freedom and glamour of rock and roll.” The 546-unit high-rise at Church and Richmond in Old Toronto, called ALiAS Condos, will include 18,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor amenity space and more than 7,000 square feet of street-level retail space.
Amenities include a co-working lounge, fully equipped fitness centre, indoor and outdoor private play areas for children, party rooms complete with a pizza oven, an experiential pet spa, and much more.
Madison Ground started construction at the end of September, with Teeple Architects and Turner Fleischer Architects as designers, interiors by Studio Munge and landscapes by MBTW.
At the groundbreaking ceremony, Stephen Teeple, founding principal at Teeple Architects, described how the “glazed black brick is designed to cascade down the building façade like a waterfall, topped with an iridescent gold crown meant to ignite the evening sky.”
