Avison Young has acquired North Rae Sanders (NRS), a U.K.-based commercial property provider that focuses on logistics/warehousing, manufacturing, office and mixed-use sectors.

“This acquisition is another important step towards the expansion of our rapidly growing U.K. operations,” notes Mark E. Rose, chair and chief executive officer of Avison Young. “Avison Young will continue to offer clients a countrywide service offering that spans the entire property lifecycle, with access to overseas markets and resources of the wider firm.”

EGI industrial research recently ranked NRS seventh in EGI’s “National Industrial Agents EGI League Table (Disposals) – First Half 2015“. NRS ranked first in disposals in West Midlands and second in East Midlands, and has a growing presence in London and the South East markets.

NRS is now rebranded as Avison Young, with eight of its members joining on to help leverage local market knowledge and attract key talent operating in the logistics and industrial sectors on a national basis.

This is Avison Young’s fourth office in the U.K. and its eighth office in Europe.
