The growing 72-acre community in Port Credit, Ont., known as Brightwater recently introduced a collection of luxury townhomes that come in three designs by architecture firm Superkül.
Port Credit West Village Partners (Kilmer Group, DiamondCorp, Dream Unlimited and FRAM + Slokker) announced Brightwater Towns will bring 106 three-storey luxury residences to the waterfront community at Lakeshore and Mississauga Road, with spacious three and four-bedroom layouts.
Each townhome includes an individual walk-up along a landscaped path. The nearby Benson trail will incorporate a new multi-use path and with connections from Lakeshore Road to the Port Credit waterfront for pedestrians and cyclists.
A large pedestrian mews with seating, birch groves and catenary lights, will surround a private amenity area that incorporates a sculptural children’s play area, inspired by the waves of Lake Ontario.
For the homes façades, Superkül used masonry, inspired by the site’s history as a former brickyard, as well as coastal-inspired materials like horizontal siding, and a soft colour palette to connect to the water.
Superkül Owner and Principal Andre D’Elia said the team wanted to “speak to themes of coastal and contemporary living,” given the community’s location. “We took a holistic approach to the residences, blending timeless style with thoughtful, meaningful spaces to create a sense of awe,” she said.
The three distinct townhome designs integrate private rooftop terraces that maximize views to the waterfront and surrounding community. Each townhome contains a flex space on the upper level that connects to the rooftop terrace – suited for an indoor/outdoor office, playroom or extra entertaining space.
Interiors by design firm Truong Ly Design feature oversized windows, spacious kitchens, and an expansive living space on the first floor that spills outdoors to another private terrace.
Last summer, the mixed-use towers Brightwater I and II were introduced, along with two commercial buildings. Recognized in 2020 with the Best New Community (Planned/Under Development) award by BILD, Brightwater includes 2,995 new residences, 150 affordable housing units, and 18 acres of green space, including a nine-plus acre waterfront park.
“We understand that residents, now more than ever, are looking for quality outdoor space and privacy, while also enjoying an urban lifestyle and connection to their community,” said Ken Tanenbaum, vice-chairman of Kilmer Group and chair of the Port Credit West Village Partners.
Prices start from $1.4 million.
