Broccolini and Magil close on former Merck site

Friday, September 12, 2014

The former Merck Canada complex, located along the TransCanada Highway in Kirkland, Quebec, will soon be developed into a world-class, 50-acre business and mixed-use campus as Broccolini Limited Partnership No. 2 and Magil Laurentian Realty Investments have recently acquired what is now called “Quartier Évolution.”

Within close proximity to the Pierre-Elliott Trudeau International Airport, TransCanada Highway, shopping centres and public transit, the 850,000-square-foot multifunctional space will provide numerous leasing possibilities and include amenities such as a 200-capacity auditorium and a full service cafeteria.

“Tenants of Quartier Évolution will be well-served by these unique facilities. Furthermore, they will benefit from a myriad of services and infrastructure at a cost that could not be replicated in a new facility,” says Paul Broccolini, executive vice-president of Broccolini, a leading construction and redevelopment company.

Gary Polacheck, president of Magil Laurentian, a fully integrated asset and property management company, is also excited about the new venture. “Rarely does a property of this exceptional quality become available,” he says. “We are delighted to be developing this prestigious business campus, offering tremendous flexibility and value to leading-edge companies.”
