Calgary city officials have released a preliminary estimate of just how much it will cost to fix flood-damaged infrastructure, pegging it to be at least $260 million.
Among the most expensive rehabilitation projects are the Calgary Zoo, the police administration building, city hall and the wastewater treatment plant.
According to a city report, the estimate was broken down into six general departments: community and protective services ($34.2 million); corporate services ($32 million); transportation ($33.9 million); utilities and environmental protection ($55.8 million); Calgary police service ($34.5 million); and civic partners ($66.2 million).
