Canadian jacket and outdoor apparel manufacturer Canada Goose has acquired a 45,000-square-foot facility in Scarborough, Ont. to help the company meet increasing global demand. Canada Goose acquires the building from its long-standing partner, Grand Harbour Clothing. The new facility will be the company’s second manufacturing campus in the Greater Toronto Area.

“From Asia to Europe to North America, we’re excited by the continued growing demand for Canada Goose products around the world,” says Dani Reiss, Canada Goose President and CEO. “I’m proud to be leading the charge in rebuilding apparel manufacturing infrastructure; this is an important investment that not only expands our footprint, but significantly increases productivity by transforming a great factory into a world-class manufacturing campus through innovative technologies and processes.”

Canada Goose also has plans to invest in the redevelopment of the Scarborough site to include a state-of-the-art manufacturing facility with new production technologies. The new location will be focused primarily on the production of the company’s HyBridge Lite collection, a group of lightweight jackets and vests.

With the acquisition of Grand Harbour Clothing Inc., Canada Goose gains 70 employees, including former Grand Harbour Clothing owner James Tang. Tang will serve as the facility’s Plant Director, overseeing factory operations.

The acquired facility is located at 33 Commander Blvd.
