The YOO Montreal vertical village, a 20-storey condominium located in Montreal, Que., has officially entered the first stage of construction. Designed by Philippe Starck and constructed by Montreal firm Constructions Chapman, the 84-unit building will have a community focus aimed at attracting like-minded tenants with similar lifestyles and aspirations.
To encourage gathering and conversation, Starck designed YOO Montreal to have several common areas. Other amenities will include a pool, hot tub, exterior lounges with fireplaces, state-of-the-art fitness centre, and a restaurant offering room service to building occupants.
Starck describes YOO Montreal as “a place that contributes to the harmony of the people who make it their home. It’s based on the principle that in sharing a living space, we feel more complete and we create synergies.”
YOO Montreal will offer residents several luxury interior apartment styles from which to choose. The styles are broken down into three categories, including culture, minimal, and nature. Each category has its own unique themes and units will be designed to reflect a tenant’s selection.
Located in Montreal’s Griffintown district, YOO Montreal is situated near a variety of cultural attractions including art galleries, theatres, restaurants, boutiques and event venues.
