The Buildings Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) of Canada has flagged 11 relatively common property and facilities management practices aligned with recapture and reuse of materials and elimination of waste. BOMA members and other interested parties are asked to complete a short online survey, indicating the current uptake of such programs within their organizations.
That’s ahead of the upcoming launch of BOMA Canada’s new Circular Economy Guide for Commercial Real Estate, exploring how the concept of a complete elimination of waste through a combination of product design, conservation and recovery strategies might apply in the industry. The survey will help gauge understanding of and interest in the circular economy, as well as polling respondents on their sustainability priorities and needs for supporting resources.
It’s projected the six multiple choice questions will take about three minutes to complete, but there is an additional opportunity to provide extra written comments. BOMA Canada also plans to host a webinar on the topic later this month.
