Monday, October 27, 2014

Doug Webber, executive vice-president at Halsall Associates, was recently presented with an Individual Award as part of the Canadian Green Building Council’s (CaGBC) 2014 Innovation in LEED Awards.

The honour recognizes Webber’s leadership in advocating for green buildings and sustainability over the past 20 years, both professionally and outside the workplace.

Some of Webber’s key accomplishments include, greening Halsall Associates and improving the firm’s structural design and restoration, implementing the company’s environmental management program and creating an environmentally conscious office culture.

Webber, a professional engineer and LEED accredited professional, has pioneered a number of sustainable projects in new and existing buildings across Canada.

Some notable feats include, Waterfront Toronto Minimum Green Building Requirements and Evergreen at the Brickworks—itself a CaGBC 2014 Innovation in LEED award winner.

During the fifth annual CaGBC Greater Toronto Chapter Gala and Awards Program, the non-profit also handed out a volunteer award to Ken Feinstein, director of marketing and business development at Flat Iron Building Group, an interior construction management firm.
