Thursday, May 28, 2015

Elaine E. Everson will be stepping into a new role at Extendicare Inc. after serving as vice-president and controller since 1994.

She will soon take over as chief financial officer upon the sale of the company’s U.S. business in June 2015.

Everson has fulfilled a number of financial roles since joining Extendicare in 1985. Prior to that, she worked as a chartered accountant in public practice with Thome Riddell, a presecessor firm to KPMG LLP.

She succeeds Dylan T. Mann who has decided to remain in the U.S. following the sale transaction.

“I want to thank Dylan for his contributions to Extendicare, especially through the challenging and complex undertaking during the past few years to separate and sell our U.S. business,” said Tim Lukenda, president and chief executive officer of Extendicare. “I look forward to working with Elaine in her new capacity as CFO. Her previous experience with Extendicare is a significant asset and makes her a perfect fit for this expanded role at this time.
