Wednesday, April 29, 2015

Civeo Corporation (Civeo), a company specializing in long-term and temporary workforce accommodations, catering, facility management, water systems and logistics services, has won four new facility management contracts in Alberta and British Columbia. The contracts include oil sands mine, natural gas production and gold mine projects.

Details of the contracts, which represent a total aggregate value of $64-million, include:

  • Accommodation for an oil sands customer at Civeo’s Athabasca and Beaver River lodges (two to three months and 1,800 rooms);
  • Accommodation at Beaver River lodge for a mining operator and construction company operating in the oil sands region (80 rooms to be occupied until 2017);
  • Continuing accommodation (contract renewed from January 2014) in Northwest Alberta for a catering and operations company (two years and 700 rooms); and
  • The construction of a 327-bed camp for a gold mining customer in western British Columbia (expected to be ready for occupancy by Q4 2015).

Athabasca Lodge was re-opened by Civeo in April 2015 after temporary closure as a result of low occupancy in November of last year. With the new contracts in place, Civeo is considering the possibility of keeping the lodge open.
