Office furniture designer and manufacturer Teknion Corporation (Teknion) was the recipient of five design awards at the annual Good Design Awards, held by The Chicago Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design in collaboration with The European Centre for Architecture, Art, Design and Urban Studies. The Good Design Awards celebrate innovative and cutting-edge industrial, product, and graphic designs from around the world.

Teknion received awards for its new Journal casegoods, Variable multi-purpose seating, Thesis learning and library tables, and two textiles collections.

“Teknion’s multi-disciplinary design and development team continues to develop clever, timely products that advance ideas of what a workplace can be,” says David Feldberg, Teknion President and CEO. “We augment this distinctive design process by collaborating with a pool of prominent worldwide designers to gather new ideas and insights into workplace design. These five international design excellence awards are a tribute to our in-house and international roster of designers.”

Teknion’s portfolio of Journal casegoods, comprised of desks, credenzas and cabinets, freestanding and stackable storage, run-offs and returns, was designed by Chris Wright and Steve Tsai of Toronto’s figure3, a multi-sector interior design firm.
