Groupe Sutton, a Quebec-based real estate brokerage company, celebrated its 20th anniversary by giving a $20,000 donation to Dans La Rue, a Montreal organization that offers resources and support to homeless youth.
Along with this contribution, the company announced its entire network will participate in a movement to give a predetermined sum per transaction for the remainder of the year.
“We know that having a roof and a home are decisive elements for fostering growth and development in young people,” said Julie Gaucher, vice-president and chief of operations at Groupe Sutton, Quebec. “I firmly believe that with our contribution as a Group, franchisees and brokers can make a real difference in the lives of young people,”
Cecile Arbaud, executive director of Dans la Rue, said the money will significantly support young people who are transitioning to an “autonomous adult life.” “We are equally touched that the Group is talking about our cause and raising public awareness about the desperate needs of these young people,” she added.
