IDC announces new interior design program

The Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) has announced the launch of PROpel: What’s Your Amazing? exclusively for emerging interior design professionals. The program is the first of its kind and will feature a series of interactive webinars, an idea-sharing platform, and an all-expense-paid trip to Montreal for a select few to meet with industry thought leaders as part of a two-day conference.

“We developed this program to bring together the next generation of interior designers with practicing professionals and industry suppliers,” says IDC CEO, Susan Wiggins. “We’re confident PROpel will help foster meaningful relationships within these groups and that each of them will bring their unique experiences to the table for successful knowledge sharing.”

As part of the program, emerging professionals will learn the founding stories of our partners and contribute to an online conversation. Forty front-runners with the most compelling personal story about what makes them “amazing” will earn the title, “IDC’s Most Amazing Emerging Professional,” and the opportunity to spend two days with industry experts at the PROpel conference, May 28 to 30, 2015, in Montreal.

“Special thanks to our eight partners who have helped support and contribute their inspirational insights into the planning of PROpel. It is unlike any other program we’ve launched,” says Wiggins. “PROpel speaks volumes about our commitment to the future of interior design in Canada. In no other capacity do these three groups get the opportunity to speak candidly about the profession. We are incredibly excited to lead the discussions and provide the forum for these conversations to take place.”

PROpel: What’s Your Amazing? partners include, 3M Canada – Architectural Markets, Benjamin Moore, Grohe, Interface, Knoll, Kravet Canada, Levey, and Lutron. The official program launch will take place at IIDEXCanada, December 3 and 4, 2014.
