IFMA Toronto recently introduced its new executive board of directors, elected on May 15. As of July 1, Nick Heibein (pictured), associate director of facilities business intelligence at Humber College, steps into the role of president. Heibein previously served as IFMA Toronto’s vice-president of marketing and membership.
“During my term as president, I would like to support the delivery of quality programming and increased value to our membership, alongside IFMA Toronto’s dedicated and involved board of directors,” he says.
Heibein also plans to: build partnerships with complementary associations, industry leaders and valued sponsors; grow membership, focusing on both experienced and young professionals; and increase engagement at events and within committees. He assumes the presidency from Jason Bates, who will remain on the board as past president.
Jenn Weiler, principal of Proper Search, also remains on the board as vice-president of programs, education and events. Nicole Clancy, A&D market manager, Inscape Solutions, will begin a new role on the board as vice-president of marketing and communications. And Angela McLean, project and change manager, Corporate Project Management Office at the Region of Peel, stays on the board as secretary/treasurer.
