Indigo Chapters will soon begin renovating key stores across Canada with the addition of new American Girl specialty boutiques and the redesign and expansion of !ndigoKids departments this summer.

In addition, thousands more book titles will be added to the store, along with more retail space allocated for home décor, gift, paper, fashion and gourmet products. Renovated Chapters locations will be also be rebranded as Indigo.

These locations include Chapters Granville in Vancouver, Indigo Yorkdale and Indigo Toronto Eaton Centre in Toronto, Chapters Chinook Centre and Chapters Dalhousie in Calgary, and Chapters West Edmonton Mall in Edmonton.

Jean McKenzie, president of American Girl, positioned the brand’s “strong performance in Canada” as a push to open 1400 to 1800-square-foot boutiques at the Indigo Granville, Indigo Toronto Eaton Centre, Indigo Chinook Centre and Indigo West Edmonton Mall.

“These new locations will help us celebrate even more girls, and we look forward to creating a fabulous new opportunity for area families to shop and experience American Girl,” she said.

In Canada, American Girl retails exclusively at Chapters and Indigo stores.
