The Southern Interior Construction Association (SICA) in B.C. has announced that Jason Henderson is its new CEO.

Henderson assumes the position after serving on the SICA board for the last six years, including three years as a director on the BC Construction Association board. He began his career in construction as an apprentice electrician, working his way up to management. The association’s board of directors feel Henderson’s 22 years of experience in the construction industry will be a considerable asset to SICA.

With a leadership style that focuses on innovation and collaboration, Henderson is passionate about moving SICA forward and working with stakeholders as the construction industry continues to evolve. SICA looks forward to having their new CEO traveling the region and engaging with current and potential members.

“The SICA Hiring Committee was tasked with finding the candidate best suited to take SICA into its next phase. After an extensive search with many qualified candidates we are pleased to have Jason accept our top position of CEO,” said SICA’s past chair Debra Dotschkat in the announcement. “We have complete confidence in Jason and know he has the industry knowledge and passion for this role. We look forward to SICA’s bright future.”

Founded in 1969, the association has offices in Kelowna and Kamloops as well as a Construction Training Centre in Kelowna.
