A new mixed-use condo and commercial development has been announced for Calgary, A.B. The Royal, a 223-unit project with 90,000 square feet of retail and office space, will be developed by Embassy BOSA and First Capital Realty Inc.

The $120-million, 34-storey development, located at 17th Ave. in the Mount Royal Village West district, will be comprised of suites ranging from 598 to 2,018 square feet in size. The upper eight floors will be reserved for a special collection of larger suites.
Amenities will include full concierge services, oversized balconies with downtown and mountain views, and a high-end grocery store at ground level. The addition of The Royal will serve to strengthen Mount Royal Village West’s status as one of the most walkable, pedestrian-friendly areas in Calgary.
“This is a game-changer,” says Brian Kozak, First Captial Realty’s Western Canada division Executive Vice-President. “This will completely revitalize the retail in this area and create a focal point in this growing community.”
Launched on November 25, The Royal has an anticipated completion date of spring 2015.
