Chartwell Retirement Residences announced it has started construction on Chartwell Waterford Retirement Residence, a new active-living retirement community in the Halton Region.
Located in North Oakville, adjacent to Bronte Road between Dundas Street and the QEW, Chartwell Waterford Retirement Residence will be set amongst the highly-popular and growing residential areas of the Palermo, West Oak Trails and Bronte Creek neighbourhoods.
A five-storey residence featuring 128 spacious and bright suites, Chartwell Waterford will also offer a full range of amenities reflective of today’s more active retired generation.
“Today’s retirees are the most physically fit, active and socially-engaged generation of any before them,” said Maxime Camerlain, Vice President of Marketing at Chartwell Retirement Residences. “Chartwell Waterford is designed to provide the perfect opportunity for residents to remain active and connect with others, or to spend time relaxing in a welcoming environment.”
Chartwell Waterford will feature an inviting bistro, demonstration kitchen for large family gatherings, a family-friendly kid zone, dog wash and a beautifully-landscaped walking trail and green space off the grand dining room. The residence will also offer a unique ‘Memory Living’ Neighbourhood, complete with its own spa, exercise room, activity lounge and meticulously-designed outdoor garden courtyard.
Located at 2140 Baronwood Drive, and next door to Chartwell Waterford Long Term Care Residence, the new retirement community will be within walking distance to West Oak Trails Plaza, in close proximity to numerous shops, services and restaurants, and only minutes to Oakville Trafalgar Memorial Hospital.
