A new Homewood Suites by Hilton has opened in downtown Hamilton, Ont.
The 16-storey, 182-suite hotel is located at 40 Bay St., near the Hamilton Convention Centre. It is also close to a number entertainment and sporting venues, including Copps Coliseum, Hess Village and the Art Gallery of Hamilton.
“Canada has proven to be a successful market for our Homewood Suites brand, and we look forward to expanding in this region with five additional Canada openings planned for this year,” says Bill Duncan, global head of Homewood Suites by Hilton and Home2 Suites by Hilton.
This is the 11th Homewood Suites property in Canada.
Homewood Suites Hamilton is owned by Hamilton 132 Main Street Inc. Vrancor Hospitality Corporation will manage the hotel. Vrancor has built eight Hilton Worldwide properties since 2005. In addition to managing Homewood Suites by Hilton hotels, Vrancor has also managed Hampton Hotels and Hilton Garden Inn locations.
General manager Olivera Radisic, who has worked in the hotel industry for 13 years, will lead the management team. Director of sales Donna Dydynski will also offer support.
The layout of Homewood suites includes studio, one- and two-bedroom suites. Its amenities include an indoor pool, fitness centre and 10,000 square feet of meeting space.
