Toronto will be welcoming its very own Hudson Hotel.
The New York hotel has long been a go-to place for tourists looking to stay close to Central Park and locals enjoying after-work drinks on the rooftop patio.
Now, sbe, the international hospitality group that develops, manages and operates the brand, is marking the Hudson’s global expansion with Hudson Toronto.
The proposed 146-room, 75,000-square-foot project in the King West community is set to debut in 2024 and will be developed in partnership with Lamb Development Corp and IE Hospitality,
Features include a rooftop restaurant, a three-meal signature restaurant, an expansive bar and café, and other features to be announced.
Brad J. Lamb, founder of Lamb Development Corp, said the hotel will focus solely on guests and omit any condo use.
“This hotel is going to be fantastic,” he said. “Architecturally it is stunning.”
Leading the design will be architect Peter Clewes of architectsAlliance. DesignAgency will oversee the interiors.
The Hudson is part of sbe’s collection of luxury boutique hotels, the House of Originals. The project is subject to municipal approvals with hearings scheduled for spring 2020.
