Communities and organizations across Ontario are encouraged to apply for a newly announced grant that focuses on preparing for natural disasters and other emergencies.

The provincial government is investing $5 million into the Community Emergency Preparedness Grant program. Successful applicants will be able to purchase critical supplies and equipment, such as sand bagging machines, and deliver emergency management training and services to improve local response.

The funding is geared to any type of emergency. Applications close on November 30, 2023. More info on eligibility can be found here.
