The REMI Network has received three nominations for the 2019 Canadian Online Publishing Awards (COPA). Presented by Masthead Online, the annual awards recognize editorial and design excellence in four categories of digital publications: academic; business; consumer; and media.
A finalist in the Best Trade Media Website for the sixth time since the site launched in 2013, the REMI Network provides news and analysis to help a diverse audience of players in the commercial and multi-residential real estate sectors decipher their business environment. Collectively, eight verticals offer a lens on a famously multidisciplinary industry, reflecting interests and experiences across a spectrum from institutional investors to property managers to cleaning and maintenance providers.
“As Canada’s leading source for industry news targeting real estate management professionals, being nominated for these awards for the sixth year reaffirms what I’ve long known to be true,” says Kevin Brown, president of MediaEdge Communications Inc. “That REMI is continually raising the bar, and delivering custom, quality content you simply won’t find anywhere else.”
The site garnered nearly 581,000 page views in the 12 months from October 2018 to September 2019, drawing readers to a mix of news briefs, investigative features, company and building profiles, research summaries and sponsored content.
Recipient of a silver award in 2018, editor-in-chief Barbara Carss is a finalist in the Best Company Feature category for her article detailing the rollout of Canada’s Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification (RHFAC) program.
Executive editor Erin Ruddy is nominated in the Best Branded Content category for her ongoing RJC series delving into the complex world of structural engineering.
The 2019 award winners will be announced at the gala in November.
