Devri Robertson has been named the Vyetta Sunderland Scholarship recipient for 2020. The annual award, jointly sponsored by BOMI Education Canada and BOMI International, is bestowed to a Canadian student pursuing career advancement in property or facilities management.
Robertson, an administration manager with Colliers Regina, is working toward a Real Property Administrator (RPA) designation. She joined Colliers Regina as an administrative assistant in 2017 and was promoted in 2018.
“As my role has changed over the past two years, my drive to be a high performing property manager has only increased,” she says. “By completing the RPA designation, I can ensure that I have the critical knowledge and skills needed for personal and organizational success.”
The scholarship is named in honour of Vyetta Sunderland, a longstanding supporter of and contributor to continuing education through her active participation in BOMI and the Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA), in addition to her multi-decade career in real estate services.
“I’ve worked with Vyetta Sunderland throughout our careers on various BOMI Boards and committees, and I know she would agree that Devri embodies the characteristics the committee seeks for the scholarship recipient,” affirms Laurie Ell, chair of BOMI Education Canada and general manager, REMS, with Colliers International.
