Shauna Levy, president of Design Exchange (DX), also known as Canada’s Design Museum, will be honoured with the International Interior Design Association (IIDA) Leadership Award of Excellence by the Interior Designers of Canada (IDC) for her contributions to the Canadian interior design industry. Levy will be presented with the award at the Ninth Annual IDC/IIDA Toronto Leaders Breakfast, taking place on Wednesday, Dec. 2 from 8 to 10 a.m. at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, North Building.
Levy has remained a mainstay in the industry by celebrating and promoting design that is accessible to everyone. She has given Toronto design enthusiasts access to traveling exhibits from prestigious cultural institutions around the world, curated exhibitions featuring both Canadian and international talent and increased educational experiences for youth and adults.
The keynote address will be delivered by Zita Cobb, president and CEO of Shorefast Foundation and founder and innkeeper of the Fogo Island Inn. Cobb believes that design and architecture can add to quality of life beyond form and function.
The purpose of the IDC/IIDA award is to provide inspiration for others through the story of influential creative professionals that have made a big impact to the worlds of arts, culture and Canadian interior design.
