Long-time suppliers to the industry gave back to the architectural and design community in Winnipeg on June 6th with a “Spring Fling” at the Canadian Museum for Human Rights. The event was co-sponsored by Odyssey Wallcoverings , C&S Tile, Abet Laminati, Milliken, Westport Manufacturing and local community sponsor Jim Gauthier Chevrolet.
The goal was to create a relaxing environment for networking with no “sales pitch” or product offering. It was simply a thank you to the community for their support and a re-assurance that suppliers value their business and are committed to building lasting relationships.
Guests were thrilled to experience the Tower of Hope Elevator that scaffolds skywards 100 metres (or the equivalent of 23 storeys) to an outdoor observation deck with a 360 degree panoramic view of the city.
Fine foods, amazing beverages and plenty of door prizes added to the evening’s charm. Guest speaker Grant Van Iderstine of Architecture 49, the architect of record for the unique museum, was a huge hit.
The group of sponsors is looking forward to making this an annual event and have already begun seeking out other unique venues for next year’s “Fling.”
