Cadillac Fairview, Canderel, the Fonds immobilier de solidarite FTQ and the Montreal Canadiens Hockey Club recently celebrated the finalization of the exterior structure, or topping-off, of the Tour des Canadiens, one of the tallest condo towers in Montreal.
The first phase of the 50-storey condominium project was the fastest-selling real estate project in Montreal’s history. Future owners of units within the building are expected to begin moving in by summer 2016, as scheduled.
“Tour des Canadiens, and the recently announced Tour des Canadiens 2, represent the best and brightest that Montreal has to offer; a dynamic and exciting residential setting where sports, culture and entertainment are an integral part of everyday life,” said Daniel Peritz, senior vice-president at Canderel, in a press release. “Tour des Canadiens condo owners will soon be able to enjoy the most exciting and complete urban living experience in town.”
To celebrate the topping-off, Cadillac Fairview and Tour des Canadiens partners have donated a total of $10,000 to the Montreal Canadiens Children’s Foundation to support charities such as Tyndale St-Georges Community Centre, which provides programs and services to help children in a neighbouring community.
“Cadillac Fairview is resolutely committed to Montreal’s future,” said Brian Salpeter, senior vice-president, development, Eastern Canada at Cadillac Fairview. “Our redevelopment plan is aimed at transforming the area around Bell Centre and building bridges with the surrounding communities. We are pleased to support local organizations that are helping to improve the quality of life of these communities’ residents.”
