The Water Technology Acceleration Project (WaterTAP) has appointed Kenneth A. Morrison, P. Eng., as chair of the board of directors.
Morrison has more than 40 years of experience related to infrastructure and environmental projects in various areas, utilizing public-sector resources and water and urban development to name a few.
“WaterTAP’s work is creating value for Ontario and making a major impact on the province’s water technology sector,” said Morrison. “The outlook for further growth in the sector is very promising.”
Morrison, a designated consulting engineer in Ontario and a fellow of the Canadian Society for Civil Engineering and the Engineering Institute of Canada, recently retired from R.V. Anderson Associates where he served as president since 1989.
“Ken brings extensive knowledge of the water industry and proven leadership and corporate governance experience to this role, which will no doubt be of significant benefit to the organization,” said Dr. Peter Gallant, vice-chair of WaterTAP.
A WaterTAP board member since September 2014, Morrison has chaired other boards like the North York General Hospital Board of Governors and Ontario’s Central Local Health Integration Network.
