The expansion of Deerfoot Trail in Calgary, a major transport artery for the city, is now complete. The remaining improvements will be completed in 2027.

The Government of Alberta announced that during the 2023 construction season, it invested $1.13 billion in 250 road and bridge projects.

Major upgrades to Deerfoot Trail are expected to begin in 2023 and be completed in 2027. The project is targeting key bottlenecks.

Alberta Transportation has shortlisted three groups to submit proposals to complete improvements on Deerfoot Trail using a P3 delivery model.
