A link has opened for building owners to report their energy and water usage before the July 2, 2024 deadline.

New this year, EWRB reporting is required for any building with a total gross square footage of 50,000 or more, including multi-residential towers and large townhome complexes.

While building codes and standards help regulate efficiency in new buildings, existing buildings have been operating with little oversight and, in fact, no insight at all into how energy and water was being used in our cities.
