Food-anchored retail plazas remain a staple on the commercial real estate menu, again emerging as the preferred asset type in Altus Group’s survey of Canadian investment trends in Q2.

Investors and asset managers typically expressed more reservations about Canadian commercial real estate this spring than when they were surveyed on their sentiments last fall.

Recently released results of the REALPAC/Ferguson Partners Canadian Real Estate Sentiment Survey show industry executives in a more upbeat mood in Q2 2021 than was the case 12 months earlier.
