The Province of B.C. is changing the Residential Tenancy Act to deter bad-faith evictions and eliminate rent increases for households with children.

The decision to re-open a recreational facility is the landlord’s decision to make, and one that requires careful consideration and planning.

Gregor Robertson, Mayor of Vancouver, has asked the City’s Renters Advisory Committee to review the province’s Residential Tenancy Act in order evaluate what improvements would be favourable for renters. The recently established committee was developed to give renters, who comprise over half of Vancouver households, a voice at City Hall.
